Based in Gallese (province of Viterbo, Italy), the company continues to expand and automate its production facilities with SACMI pressure casting technology
With the installation of its sixth SACMI AVM casting module, GSI (Gruppo Sanitari Italia) has given its plant at Gallese Scalo, in the heart of the Civita Castellana (Vt) sanitaryware district, a significant productive and technological boost.
Key AVM advantages include flexibility of use and optimal mould pool management. In fact, because modules can be configured at different automation levels – from handling to direct lifting and on-car loading after finishing – AVM has become the industry standard.
The latest SACMI casting module, tested and started up at the GSI plant in September, will be used to manufacture WCs. It joins other SACMI pressure casting solutions installed in recent years, such as, in addition to the 5 AVMs already in operation, the AVI, ADM and ADS modules for the production of WCs, washbasins, console washbasins and shower trays, not to mention a SACMI-Riedhammer kiln featuring Reko technology.
All supplied solutions are characterised by 4.0-driven automation and interconnection between the various machines, making SACMI GSI’s leading partner in this ambitious long-term investment plan.
