An important collaboration is taking off between the Turkish company VITRA KARO and EMAR IMPIANTI, a company of Martinelli Group. Martinelli – worldwide leader for the supply of ceramic moulds – is now more and more committed to the development of innovative technologies for pres feeding.
Vitra Karo has chosen the multiple feeding system X55 by Emar Impianti for the production of new porcelain tile materials in Bozuyuk plant, Turkey. The supply is including the installation of the innovative X55 MICRON, suitable for the feeding of press mould with up to 3 different layers of material combining new aesthetical possibilities and unrivalled productive performances that cannot be reached with traditional double charging systems. In fact, X55 feeder is enabling the simultaneous utilization of different materials such as spray-dried and micronized powders, glazes, flakes and granules. The products realized by Vitra, officially presented at Cersaie 2016, present extremely natural, textured features and are manufactured with great performances in terms both of press-cycle speed and reduction of the materials needed.
The new Vitra materials are being produced in 450×900 mm and 600×600 mm sizes. They are the result of an important activity involving Vitra design team, Emar Impianti R&D staff and prestigious glaze manufacturers.
